Built In1819. Reconstructed In1896. Silent Between1931 And 1938 And Again From 1941 to 1945. In1969 A New Distillery Was Built Near By Called Clynelish.

As Clynelish A(The New Distillery)And 'Clynelish B'(The Old Distillery) Until The Original Clynelish Was Renamed Brora Which Finally Ceasing Production In 1983.

The Two Stills of 'Old Clynelish' Were Converted From Direct Coal Heating to Internal Steam Heating In 1961 And The Steam Engine And

Size

Water Wheel Were Replaced With Electric Power In 1965, Which Is Also The Year When The Floor Maltings Were Used For The Last Time.

Proof

In 1966, The Boiler Itself Was Converted From Coal to Oil Burning.

Notes
