Region The Distillery Was Built With The Intention of Having Easy Access to Inverness - Caledonian Canal And Was Originally In Direct Age Competition With Glen Albyn.In 1906 The Company Became A Private Limited Company Distilled With Johnnie Walker And Sons Ltd. Taking A Substantial Shareholding And In 1920 The Company Acquired The Glen Alybn Distillery. Size Glen Mhor Was The First Scottish Distillery to Convert From Traditional Floor Maltings to Mechanical Maltings Proof Maltings Ceased Operating In1980. The Distillery Was Closed In 1983 And Demolished In 1986. Notes And Has Since Been Sold to Make Way For A Shopping Complex. Glen Mhor Means ‘Great Glen’ In Gaelic.
