In 1953 The Tullibardine Distillery Was Sold On to Brodie Hepburn Ltd. - Whisky Brokers From Glasgow. Age Tullibardine Is Situated At Blackford Near Gleneagles, Just North of The Highland Line. The Area Is Prized For The Quality of Its Water, With The Distillery Sharing Its Water Source With The Distilled Bottled Brand 'Highland Spring' And Being Built On The Site of What Was Scotland's First Public Brewery. Brewing Is of Course Another Industry That Relies On The Quality of Its Water Source. Size Invergordon Distillers Ran Tullibardine From 1971; Largely Rebuilding The Distillery In 1973-74 When It Was Enlarged From Two to Four Stills. Whyte And Mackay Then Gained Control of Proof the Distillery In 1993 And Mothballed It The Following Year.
